From Fate To Destiny
Thursday, March 05, 2015 - Alexander Amoroso

Never once in my life have I ever considered Fate and Destiny two separate entities. Most people I have met separate the two ideas which is the popular thing to do. That is mostly from what they have told me that Fate is not in their control and Destiny does not exist. There was an article published in the Huffington Post by S.L. Scott in the Huff Post Books link of their website titled, Are You Living Your Fate Or Creating Your Destiny? I would like to state for the record this is my opinion based on years of research and personal experiences. Everything I say is relative for interpretation and not set in stone or records of actions to be taken seriously. If you agree with me, you are one step closer to greatness. If not I wish you well on your journey to discover truth on your own. I would like to begin with the Webster Dictionary definition of Fate and Destiny from Olde English to dictionary.com which are unchanged meanings of the words passed down from the language I speak. Fate means destined to happen or act in a particular way. Destiny means the hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; Fate. Now it is quite obvious based off of the English language that Fate and Destiny are one in the same thing and not worth debating about. However, I will tell you what connects the two.

If you ask any Guru or Buddhist monk, they will tell you that Fate is a joke and not worth catching because it is already in your hands. Individuals with selective reading or hearing abilities would say “Oh! He said Fate is a joke. Don’t worry about it. We still control our own lives!” Unfortunately those people don’t understand that’s not the whole truth. The point is the unbelievable belief that fate is out of our control (the joke) and you should not hunt for it (try catching) because you have the power to shape your own Fate (in your hands). There is no invisible force that controls your actions except yourself. You logically create your own Fate based off of guided decisions provided by the creator of the universe. Those who don’t believe in Fate understand that if they do, they have to take responsibility for their own decisions if they truly control them, which they do not want to do. People who believe it is out of our control, pray to and then curse the creator when things don’t go their way. But their way is not the way.

These types of people are weak with the potential of being strong if they seek the truth of their purpose. You cannot blame the creator (for arguments sake we will call it God) for the troubles in your life and you cannot shift the duty of life to someone else because that in itself will change the Fate of all of our lives of individually scared weaklings. That is proof enough that we control Fate: the fact that every historic deed done by humans changes the Fate of all life and existence. Since we came from God, we are God, and therefore have the power to control our Fates to accomplish extraordinary things that affect our universe. Ralph Waldo Emerson in his piece Self-Reliance stated, “Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string. Accept the place the divine providence has found for you, the society of your contemporaries, the connection of events.” If you use Fate, you can control your Destiny.

This brings me to the subject of Destiny. I will be getting to a more scientific aspect to prove to skeptics on this issue: If every particle and atom as well as every plant and animal is created for a specific purpose in life, why not humans for that same purpose? Or are we just separate from nature as religionists claim? People who throw their absolute faith in science do not actually believe in science absolutely if a spiritual phenomenon such as Destiny cannot prove to them the scientific purpose that every human being has just like every individual flower and individual animal has. Destiny is the discovered term we have used to describe our purpose in life and we ignore our own wisdom based off of impatience. The late Alan Watts stated in his lecture Liberate Yourself that you should not force your liberty just like you should not force sleep. The same principle can be applied to not forcing your Destiny because your decided Fate is already driving you towards it when you choose the right paths. Being tenacious gets you to your Destiny faster and that’s good because I too am tenacious, but patience balances the journey of your universal Destiny.

The point of the matter is that Fate is the clay and bricks that build the giant and majestic house that is your Destiny. I have discovered, and logic proves, your decisions drive you toward your purpose one way or another. In my young life this has been my experience and my understanding of this has improved my life greatly. The correct decisions God gives us to choose are based in love and passion. The wrong decisions are based in hate and insecurity. It is every individual’s duty to correct others bad decisions and add advice and guidance where it’s needed to heighten the collective of life. If this would have been done much sooner with a person like Adolf Hitler, we would have probably hailed him as a hero instead of vilified him as a villain. I advise not to make the wrong decisions like Hitler and take your own Fate into your hands and achieve your glorious Destiny for yourself and your universe.
